My name is May. I'm a self-taught artist.

 I've always wanted to paint, but just didn't know how to go about it exactly. So, I decided to just give it a try and paint whatever comes to mind. Well, that was in 2007. I bought some acrylic paints and began with hopeful anticipation. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the results, and after about a half dozen small paintings, I got discouraged.

In June, 2009, I started painting a portrait of Frida Kahlo. To my surprise, it looked different and better than everything I tried 2 years ago. I feel God is guiding my hands because I have no training and don't exactly know how I'm supposed to paint. Now I begin to feel a real urge to painting, and I only wish I can paint faster!

It's now August, and I'm working on my second painting. It's an angel playing a violin. I will post some pictures soon.
